Jodie Foster Reunited with Ex Cydney Bernard?

Lesbian icon Jodie Foster may have reconciled with her former lady love Cydney Bernard. The former couple was reportedly spotted together in Tokyo on Foster’s press tour for Nim’s Island on Tuesday. Earlier this year, Foster had another woman lined up when she and her partner of 14 years, Bernard, called it quits. Foster, 45, met and fell for screenwriter Cynthia Mort, 51, on the set of the vigilante flick, The Brave One in 2007 and has reportedly been seeing her ever since.

America’s darling and the favorite going in to the Beijing Olympics, Shawn Johnson finally leapt away with a gold medal for her near perfect performance on the balance beam. Johnson, a powerhouse on the beam, won the gold on the final women’s gymnastics’ event of this Olympics, edging out her teammate and all-around gold medal winner Nastia Liukin.

Senator John McCain appears to be continuing to make inroads against Barack Obama, who has been stepping up his attacks on the presumptive Republican nominee since returning to the campaign trail this weekend. According to the latest electoral map from RealClearPolitics.com, when leaning states are factored in, Barack Obama and John McCain are separated by only seven electoral votes.

Christina Applegate is Cancer Free

In an interview earlier today on Good Morning America, Samantha Who star, Christina Applegate, revealed she is 'definitely not going to die from breast cancer.' Since being diaganosed with the disease earlier this month the actress has adopted a macrobiotic diet and undergone treatment for breast cancer which required both her breasts to be removed. Doctors have now issued the 36-year-old star a clean bill of health and a fresh start.

Manhunt Chairman Resigns Over McCain Donation Backlash

Jonathan Crutchley, the chairman of the board of popular gay hook-up site Manhunt.net, has been forced to resign after it was revealed he made a $2,300 donation to the campaign of presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain. In response to concerns that the website might be perceived as supporting John McCain, executives at Manhunt asked Crutchley to step down and then went public with their request to eliminate any doubts about such support.

California Supreme Court Rules Doctors Must Treat Gay Patients Equally

The California Supreme Court ruled on Monday that doctors in the state must treat gay and lesbian patients equally, regardless of religious objections. The Court overruled a fertility clinic’s choice not to provide fertility services to a lesbian couple on the grounds of religious beliefs. The suit against the clinic was brought by Guadalupe Benitez, who filed a case against North Coast Women’s Care Medical Group for refusing to provide artificial insemination to her because she was a lesbian.

Obama and McCain Both Oppose Gay Marriage, Split on Abortion

Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain both appeared over the weekend at an event geared to Christian voters to discuss issues ranging from abortion to gay marriage. During the event, both candidates expressed the opinion that marriage should remain between a ‘man and a woman’ only. While Obama stated he opposes a federal ban on same-sex marriage, McCain indicated he would support a constitutional ban if states were required to recognize such marriages from other states.
